The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee we had a day of celebrations. We came dressed in red, white, blue or something typically British. Can you spot anyone famous in our assembly?
In history, we learnt about the history of the monarchy and why reaching a platinum jubilee is so special. We created a timeline of British Monarchs, created a family tree of the current royal family and did some writing as if we were the Queen.
In art we created different portraits of the Queen and in music we learnt how to sing the national anthem.
We had a wonderful day learning about the history of our monarchy and sharing this with our families during a traditional British picnic.
