Foundation Subject Assessment

For each Foundation Subject, subject leaders have written an end of year assessment overview. This looks at the knowledge and skills that are taught in each year group and the expectations outlined in the National Curriculum.

Evidence is gathered throughout the year to make judgements of attainment in each subject.

At the end of each half term, children complete two formative assessment pieces. They completed an end of Learning Journey Consolidation activity. This is an opportunity for the children to express what they have learnt throughout the Learning Journey in their own creative style. They also complete a Learning Journey Assessment Map created by the Curriculum lead. This checks on the children's learning of skills and knowledge.

These documents are used to revisit prior learning and embed key knowledge into long term memory.
