I was born in Brittany, which is a region of France situated in the North-West. After my Baccalaureate, I moved to the UK to learn English. Learning languages is fun, so I became a languages teacher originally. Now, I love working in primary schools because we can teach and learn about lots of different subjects. We can even learn to dance, sing and sign in BSL!

I love books! They allow you to learn so much but also to escape to weird and wonderful places. I could start naming my favourite books, but I am not quite sure we would have enough space here as I could go on and on...

Animals also fascinate me. My favourites are possibly big cats because they are beautiful and incredible. However, I also find wolves mesmerising, painted dogs captivating, penguins heart-warming and meerkats entertaining. I share a home with two lovely cats but I think it would be wonderful to have a suitcase like Newt Scamander’s with fantastic creatures to look after (especially Nifflers).

Oh! I nearly forgot! I belong to Ravenclaw House although I could have been in Hufflepuff House too.

There are so many people who have achieved incredible things, but I am inspired by writers like Neil Gaiman, J.K. Rowling, Suzanne Collins, Jane Austen and C.S. Lewis; people who have created such complex and amazing worlds. I would love to follow in their footsteps and write a book one day. I am also inspired by people who stand up against injustice and spread a message of hope and kindness despite the difficulties: amazing humans like David Attenborough, Malala, William Wilberforce, Rosa Parks, Helen Keller …

To me kindness is accepting people as they are, giving others a chance to be themselves or to share about something that they need to talk about without judging. I also think we often forget that being kind means looking after ourselves too. Being kind doesn't mean always saying "yes"; sometimes, the kind answer is "no".

When I was younger, I was very shy and not very confident at all. So, when I look back, I realise how much I have achieved and how much more confident I have become! I believe it is important to celebrate the small things in life. Although I am also proud of myself for going caving with only a candle in the wet K’anba Caves in Semuc Champey, Guatemala!
