Progression documents for each subject
To implement our curriculum effectively, we use progression documents for every subject. Some of these have been created by us, while others are drawn from carefully chosen schemes such as Kapow Primary, JIGSAW, Charanga and White Rose. Together, they set out how knowledge and skills build year by year, ensuring children revisit, deepen and extend their learning as they move through the school.
These documents provide the big picture of learning, aligned with the National Curriculum. They show how children can achieve fluency and depth, while also supporting those who may need additional scaffolding.
Progression documents form the foundation of our curriculum design. They outline the broad development of skills and knowledge, but they do not capture the subject-specific choices we have made at Fleetville.
