Library

We are delighted to share our newly designed library, officially opened on 7th October 2024 by children’s author Cressida Cowell MBE.
The calming, rich colours were chosen to create a peaceful space where children feel safe, welcome, and inspired to read. Our pupils love spending time in the library, and we are incredibly proud of the wide range of books available for them to explore and enjoy.

Our Library Needs New Books...
Some of our books are quite aged and in a state of disrepair. We are eager to acquire new literature for our children to enjoy.
We have compiled a wishlist of books tailored for each year group. If you kindly choose to purchase and donate a book to our library, we will place a message inside the book to acknowledge your generous contribution.

We would greatly appreciate any donations of copies of the books from our recommended reading lists for the School Library.

To provide our children with a diverse selection of books and the chance to explore various authors and genres, we have introduced Author of the Month. Every month, we focus on a new author. This initiative is highlighted in the classroom and our school library, allowing students to borrow books by the featured author.
Tom Fletcher
Tom Fletcher is a musician, author, and vlogger from Harrow, London. When Tom was younger his dad worked for Kodak and played in a band, while his mum taught children with special needs. At just ten, Tom starred as Oliver Twist in London’s West End and later attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School.
Tom shot to fame in 2004 as the lead singer and guitarist of McFly, whose debut album broke records by going straight to number one. In 2012, he co-wrote his first children’s book The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas with bandmate Dougie Poynter. His first solo novel, The Christmasaurus (2016), tells a magical Christmas Eve adventure and became a global hit. Today, Tom’s books have sold worldwide in over 32 languages, including The Creakers (2019) and musical editions of his stories.
Known for fun, imaginative tales full of humour and adventure, Tom’s books often explore friendship, festive magic, and quirky ideas like The Danger Gang. His playful style even breaks storytelling rules, making them easy and enjoyable for kids and adults alike.
