We follow the Language Angels scheme for French. It’s a fully resourced, curriculum-compliant programme that supports progression in phonics, grammar and vocabulary—ensuring pupils gain confidence in all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. 

Our version of the curriculum remains closely aligned to Language Angels, but we adapt and sequence the units to suit our children, linking some lessons with our foundation topics and texts to make learning even more meaningful. Pupils also benefit from interactive games, songs, and cultural lessons - giving them opportunities to improvise, compose and practise language in creative ways.
