We follow the Kapow Primary Art and Design scheme as the foundation of our curriculum. We have adapted and enriched this framework with bespoke units that link closely to our year group topics and core texts, ensuring that art is both rigorous in skills progression and meaningful in context.

This hybrid approach allows children to experience a broad range of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, craft, and mixed media, while also making purposeful connections with history, geography and English. Across the school, pupils develop their creativity and technical skills, as well as an understanding of how art reflects and shapes the world around us.
