Pupil Leadership

At Fleetville Junior school, leadership starts in the class from the first day of their school journey Pupils are given opportunities which  develops the Fleetville Whole Child.  The teaching of ‘the basic skills’ (reading, writing & maths) is an essential aspect of each child’s time at our school and we are committed to ensuring that all learners are confident and competent with key skills. We also feel it is important for our children to have a broad range of experiences that will enrich their learning and inspire them to develop interests in as many areas as possible and equip them with important skills to help them in later life. We want to help our children become the leaders of tomorrow and develop the skills they need to do this.

Our Pupil Leadership Values

As a school, we met to discuss the qualities we believe are essential for our Pupil Leadership representatives. Together, we agreed that our leaders should embody the following characteristics:

Kind, fair, flexible, helpful, approachable, committed, trustworthy, respectful, loyal, fun, and sensible — in equal measure.

These values reflect the type of role models we want for our school community and the qualities we aim to nurture in all our pupils.
