Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who contributed to the fair on Saturday. Whether with your donations of prize booty, baking skills, stall efforts, or just your presence(cash).
We all raised a whole load of funds which will go towards playground upgrades and equipment for the children, and the general feedback seems to be that everyone had a pretty good time.
A big thank you to all of our raffle prize sponsors:
Emma Collins Photography
Harpenden Common Golf Club
Watersplash Swim School
Try Time, St Albans
Wish Upon a Party
Fluxus Fitness Boot Camp
The Fleetville Larder
Yoga with Josie
Hatch on the Hill
Hannah Coyne Beauty
Warrior Adrenaline Race
and The Pudding Stop
And thank you to Chilli Raj for their generous donations for the BBQ and Simmons for donating their lovely buns!
It’s usually bad form to single out individuals for praise as everybody helped in some way and someone praiseworthy will inevitably be missed, but just to be controversial here is a notable shortlist!
Special thanks to :
Our newly and rightfully acknowledged Caretaker of the Year - Helen Maher for her everyday superhuman efforts. (not forgetting Ed!)
Trevor Ginn, who despite many sleepless nights in the quest to deliver an event that ‘looked a bit like a summer fair’ was still picking up litter in the school field on his hands and knees at 6pm Saturday. (I think that’s what he was doing - see below)
Rebecca Rowe, leader of the inimitable Fleetville Infants PTA - who invested huge efforts into planning and delivering a great event.
Nadia Austin for her planning, resourcing, general common sense and coordination of the event on the day.
Bren and Christina for organising a fabulous bake off
Joanna Clason for, amongst other contributions, putting her life on the line in the 'battle of bouncy castle’.
If you have any (positive) feedback or comments please get in touch via the form below.
Splendid job everyone!
Trevor Ginn - Organiser in Chief of the Fleetville Summer Fair 2017 - 'he left nothing out there'
