Sycamore is taught by Miss Andrew on Monday and Tuesday and Ms Feather Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Ms Feather

I am Ms Feather and I am excited to begin teaching Year 6 this year.

If I had to choose one person, and because I am maths lead, I would have to choose Ada Lovelace, a female mathematician also considered the first ever computer programmer. Although it was never built, she wrote about a computer, the Analytical Engine, and realised that it could follow a series of simple instructions, a program, to perform a complex calculation. Not bad for a woman in Victorian times!

Ms Feather

I would define kindness as the act of being a good human who treats others with warmth, empathy and respect.

One of my earliest accomplishments that I am still impressed by when I look back, is choreographing a dance routine for a dance club that I started at secondary school when I was in Year 10 or 11. In the end, there were 80 pupils on stage and it was the first time so many boys had got involved with such a performance. Dancing is still one of my favourite things to do.
