Mr Penstone-Smith
I’m Mr Penstone-Smith, one of the new members of staff, and I’m delighted to be working in Year 5 at Fleetville Junior School. I have worked across both Year 5 and Year 6 in my previous roles, but teaching has not been my only career.
After graduating from Bath University, I took up a number of roles in London working in politics, culminating in working nearly two years in the Palace of Westminster which was a fascinating place to be.
In my spare time, I like to watch crime dramas and a range of sports, avidly following Norwich City as we YoYo between the Championship and Premier League. When not at home, I spend my spare time walking in the countryside both in the UK and across Europe.

I am inspired by anyone who speaks up for what they believe in. People such as Greta Thunberg, Malala Yousafzai, David Attenborough and John Boyega.

Kindness to me is the quality of being generous, considerate and friendly. To go out of your way to do something positive for someone else, without any benefit to yourself.

My greatest accomplishment was when I travelled around the world on my own as a teenager. I organised the whole trip and got to experience some amazing places and do some incredible things such as, scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef, skydiving from 20,000ft, trekking through Yosemite National Park, walking on glaciers and seeing the Grand Canyon.
