FJS update - 29th June

Good afternoon Friends,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend despite the weather- April showers in late June!

Thank you so much to our PTA for organising our @home Summer Fair and thank you all for taking part and/or donating. We have raised almost £2000 so far, tremendous! All that money goes directly towards improving our educational offer for our children.

Thank you to for joining us in our assembly this morning; today I spoke about the importance of the Arts to our recovery from lockdown and our future wellbeing. I mentioned a series of websites which you may find of interest;

https://www.abbeytheatre.org.uk/

http://maltingstheatre.co.uk/

https://lso.co.uk/

https://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/

https://www.shakespearesglobe.com/

https://nudetincan.com/

https://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/

We also watched and listened to a member of one of our families conducting a YouTube celebration;

As well as a little sample of Elbow and Stormzy.

We discussed the importance of the ‘Arts’ in our lives and how even now we can help struggling theatres and artists so we still have such a tremendous arts culture when we finally lift lockdown.

Many thanks, stay safe and well
