Mrs Hall

I have been a teacher at Fleetville Juniors since 2018. The things that make it special for me are the huge outdoor space and the wide variety of clubs and opportunities we have available to pupils.

My family and friends would probably describe me as independent, thoughtful and conscientious. My work colleagues would add that I'm organised and I have a sweet tooth! Geography is my favourite subject and I love visiting foreign countries, eating different food, learning about different religions and history, and immersing myself in other cultures.

I’m Mrs Raffermati and I have been teaching in Fleetville Juniors for about 4 years.  The people most important to me are my friends and family.  The things I enjoy doing at the moment are: being outdoors and appreciating nature, watching movies, visiting new places and cooking ( I like finding new recipes and trying them out, especially if they are quick and easy).  My favourite colour is purple and favourite place to be is at home.

Whilst I was in Nepal, I met an 18-year-old boy who had cycled by himself all the way from London! People like him, who have a can-do attitude, I find truly inspiring.

There are 3 people that inspire me. The first being my mum. She has so much wisdom that I always go to her for advice. I wish I had that same wisdom. The second and third people who inspire me are my older brother and best friend for the same reason. They are two people who have had many obstacles thrown at them during there life but the are always so positive and never give up. I learn a lot from them.

Choosing to do things for other people, knowing it will make them happy, is my definition of kindness. Considering other people not only makes the recipient happy, but it can also bring you happiness too.

Mrs Raffermati

Kindness is simply treating others how you would like to be treated, by showing empathy (putting yourself in their shoes so to speak).

In my 20s I went backpacking alone across the world for 2 years, which has been one of my greatest personal accomplishments to date.

One of my proudest accomplishments was probably leaving the UK to go and teach in Australia for a year in 2011. Some of my friends thought I would never get on the plane but I proved them wrong. I had stepped out of my comfort zone and went there on my own. It was hard to begin with as I missed my friends and family but I managed to meet new people and make new friends. I look back on it with fond memories and it really helped me gain perspective of my life.
