It's My Life
In our Enrichment week activities, we thought about many different aspects of our lives. We made new friends by working in mixed-age groups and rotated round different activities throughout the week. We were all given a secret friend to be extra nice to this week!
The activity in the Year 3 suite was about the importance of healthy eating. We thought about the vitamins and minerals we get from fruit and vegetables. Then we looked closely at real fruit and made a collage.
In Year 4 classrooms, we were inspired by the art work of Joni James and Guillaume Apollinaire. We thought about the friends and family members who have influenced us, what we admire about them and qualities we have learned from them.
We traced around a photograph of ourselves, then filled in the outline with the descriptive words we had listed.
In Year 5, we thought about the benefits that exercise can have on our lives. We rotated around 3 activities and had a go at Orienteering, dancing and keep fit.
The Year 6 teachers helped us to create trees of thanks. In order to be kind to other people and to help others feel good about themselves, it is important that we first feel good about ourselves.
We reflected on the people we are grateful to have in our lives and who we would like to thank. We wrote our messages on gift tags and tied them to the tree of thanks.
