The Governing Body of Fleetville Junior School welcomes you to the school's website and hopes you find it interesting and informative. Please contact the school office if you would like further information.
The way the school's Leadership Team works closely with the Governing Body is an important feature of the way we work. The governors, who are all trained volunteers, have a key role in setting the direction and ethos of the school. They are ultimately responsible for ensuring that the school meets the law's requirements. They do this by creating, and keeping under review, a policy framework that allows the Headteacher and staff to remain firmly in control of the day to day running of the school. The Governing Body is representative of the school's key stakeholders: staff, the local authority, elected parents and the local community. From time to time vacancies occur - please contact the Clerk to the Governors through the school office if you would like to volunteer your services.
The Governing body is split into three sub-committees which meet regularly to focus on different areas of the school. There is a also an Academy Working Group comprising governors of both Infant and Junior Schools which is overseeing the current conversion to academy status. |
