| Attendance |
| We pride ourselves on our high levels of attendance. This curently stands at 96.2%. Research tells us that children with good attendance achieve more than those who miss school. We would ask that you think carefully before requesting time off school for your child during term time. If it is necessary for children to leave school during the day for example, to attend a medical appointment, music exam, interview etc. a written request must be received prior to the date. On the day, children must be collected by a responsible adult and signed out at the office. We are frequently asked to give permission for children to have time off from school for a wide variety of reasons. Usually, permission can be granted but a 'Request for Time Off School During Term Time' form must be completed. |

| Health |
| We encourage our children to take a pride in being clean and healthy and we aim to see that a child's day at our school is passed in cheerful and attractive surroundings. If you are in any doubt about your child's fitness to attend school, it is useful to remember that he/she has to be able to concentrate for a whole day and undertake a variety of exacting tasks. Any child incapable of normal work or with an infection that could be passed to other children and cause their absence should be kept at home. Please inform the school office of the reason for your child's absence either by letter, phone or e-mail. Should your child be prescribed medicine to be taken during school, parents are asked to bring the medicine in and sign a form stating the medication prescribed and the dosage. Without this, we regret we are unable to administer medicine to any child during school time. In many cases, your doctor will be able to prescribe medicines that will not need to be taken at school. |

| Admission |
| Children normally enter the school at the age of seven from Fleetville Infants School and other local schools. Parents of any prospective pupils should telephone or write to the Headteacher who will be pleased to arrange to meet them and show them round the school.
